We are excited to introduce our newest Cherry Hill Counseling office in Grayslake, Illinois!  Cherry Hill Counseling has been serving clients across Lake County, Illinois and southern Wisconsin since the 1970’s. So, we are very excited to provide this great location right in the center of the county. Our Grayslake office is located directly across the street from the College of Lake County and is accessible by public transportation via the PACE bus system from the north, south, east, and west including Zion, Waukegan, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills, Gurnee, Round Lake, and Fox Lake.

A full team of therapists working from the Grayslake location are ready to provide compassionate care to you and your family members of all ages. Cherry Hill is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families to thrive. Our Grayslake treatment team has a broad range of specializations including family therapy/parenting support, substance use and addictions, and trauma recovery. This team of clinicians also provides specialized care for women’s issues including mood disorders that affect women across the reproductive life span such as postpartum depression/anxiety and the transition to parenthood. Our proximity to CLC allows us to provide support to the emotional and mental health needs of the college student population. Several therapists on our Grayslake team enjoy working with couples and marriages to assist couples with exploring, understanding, and changing relational patterns that cause distress in the relationship and in the home.

Paramita Bhattacharya, LCSW, PEL

Paramita is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has worked as a clinician on 3 different continents. She speaks 4 different languages which include Hindi, Bengali, Urdu, and English. She has experience working with 5 year olds to 85 years old. Paramita utilizes evidence-based practices to support clients needs and has a background in trauma care.

Timothy Robinson, Ed.D.

Tim Robinson has been a licensed psychologist for over 25 years and served as the Chair of the Psychology Department at Trinity International University for most of three decades.

Cris Goodfellow, MA, LPC

Grayslake

Cris is an intern therapist, seeking completion of her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University (Graduation May 2024). Cris is passionate about working with teens and adults, couples, and families, helping all people to seek individual and relational health.

Caitie McCormack, MA, LPC

Accepting clients from both IL and WI, Caitie works with individuals ages 15+ and relationships of all kinds. She particularly focuses on processing trauma (religious, medical, and relational), coping with chronic pain, navigating life transitions, and using experiential techniques in sessions to create transformative experiences. Caitie brings to therapy nearly a decade of experience as a researcher in the business world, resulting in a strong sense of duty to stay current on new treatments and techniques. She is committed equally to research and creativity and will work diligently to find the most effective strategies for your individual needs.

Michelle Schaefer, MA, LCPC, PMHC

Michelle Schaefer, LCPC, has experience working with adults, couples, teens, and families. Michelle has an advanced certification in Perinatal Mental Health and specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for individuals, couples, and families. Michelle strives to create a secure client-therapist alliance in order to support people as they navigate life challenges and heal relationships.

Justin Feinberg, MA, M.Div., LCPC

Justin’s Graduate education includes both a Master’s degree in Mental Health counseling as well as a Master’s of Divinity from Trinity International University. He works with individuals, couples, and families and has a heart to see relationships flourish and people become who they were meant to be. He has training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and utilizes this toward helping marriages, families, and individuals thrive.

Jennifer Flanagan, MA, LCPC

Jennifer has a masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University. She has a passion for helping people see their strengths and potential. She believes this is accomplished through authentic relationships and support for and collaboration with others.

Rebecca Wiegman, MA, LCPC

Rebecca received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University. She has experience working with children, individuals, families, and within groups. Rebecca is enthusiastic about working with different populations and has prior experience in the fields of education, health & fitness, and substance abuse.

Georgene Manley, LCPC, CAADC

Grayslake

Georgene is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She has worked in a clinical setting most of her career. She has treated clients in residential, outpatient addictions and mental health treatment programs, and corporate settings. She loves helping clients tap into the resilience that is often overshadowed when anxiety, depression, or addiction surfaces.

Diann Pomeroy, M.Ed., LPC

Grayslake

Diann has an M.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University. She has a passion for working with women, supporting them across the lifespan as they navigate continuous change and transition. She believes that all parents need support in the parenting journey at every stage and considers being a part of that process a great privilege.

April Wazny, MA, LPC

April Wazny received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She is passionate about working with children, adolescents and families. She has over 10 years experience working with children, families, blended families, trauma, Autism Spectrum Disorder, special needs and special needs parental support. She has 21 years of experience with Military families.

Julie Berry, MA, LPC

Julie is passionate about working with women, young adults, and individuals helping them find the power within themselves to navigate any struggle they may be facing. She loves forming a strong trusted relationship with her client. She focuses on helping people name their struggles or pains and identify ways to take action toward healing and wholeness. She believes we can learn from life’s experiences as helpful information to understanding ourselves more.

S.A.G.E. Space

A safe place for identity exploration through group processing, developing self-advocacy skills, and learning how to cope with identity related stressors. For adults approximately 18 years and up.

Date: Wednsdays, 8-9pm, virtually running in 6-week cycles. Can attend continuously.

Location: Cherry Hill Counseling via Zoom

Cost: $50/session plus a 15% discount of the full 6 weeks is paid in advance of group start
