Personal Statement
I believe strongly that people grow when they are listened to well and provided with insight into their emotions, thoughts, and how this all plays into their relationships. I love watching people learn more about themselves and take responsibility for real change in their lives. I have a passion for walking compassionately alongside people in the big moments of their lives and to provide a safe place for them to grow. I want to help others gain insight into their strengths, weaknesses, and potential for the future. I believe in hope for a better way for everyone who is struggling.
Who I Serve
I work with adults, couples, teens, families and groups. I have a heart to help people grow in emotional awareness and deepen their bond with themselves and others. I believe that when one person in a family is hurting, that it impacts the larger unit and therefore believe in helping to heal the relationships within a family to help the larger unit excel. I also enjoy working with couples to create healthier attachments and ways of being together while increasing intimacy.
My work with couples, individuals and families is from an Emotionally Focused Therapy perspective as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe that when we are aware of what is happening within us, it can lead to amazing results.
I also have a heart to help those who work(ed) in full-time ministry and need support and healing. I believe that vocational ministry can have unique challenges and strains and that emotional support can really go a long way toward resilience.
We all experience hiccups along our paths but it is how we respond to them and what support we receive that will help shape the future.
