The Cherry Hill – Vernon Hills office, in Hawthorn Business Park on Lakeview Parkway, is located less than a half-mile from Hawthorn Mall and right across the street from the scenic Century Park . Our treatment team at Cherry Hill – Vernon Hills is composed of experienced and trained clinicians specializing in working with individuals and families affected by substance abuse and addictions, trauma, and adolescent/family problems. This team of clinicians also provides specialized care for women’s issues including mood disorders that affect women across the reproductive life span. The Vernon Hills team enjoys working with couples and marriages to assist couples with exploring, understanding, and changing relational patterns that cause distress in the relationship and in the home. Dr. Keith V. Bjorge is a clinical psychologist with 33+ years of experience. He has experience and passion working with troubled marriages, teen and family related problems, chemical addictions, and mood disorders. Dr. Bjorge earned the Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.
Karen Robbins, MSW, LCSW
Karen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has experience counseling teens, adults, couples, and families. She is trained in multiple empirically supported approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. She focuses on developing rapport with clients and using strength-based approaches to facilitate healing and change.
Leslie Scofield, MSW, LCSW, CADC
Leslie Scofield, MSW, LCSW, CADC is a Licensed Social Worker who has worked in the field of substance abuse for over 15 years. Her practice ranges from children to adults, and focuses on trauma, grief and loss, family issues, and addictions. She is passionate about working with groups. Leslie is also retired from military service, which informs her clinical perspective.
Lydia, Klassen, MA, LPC, CCTP
Lydia Klassen received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University. She has experience working with interpersonal issues, emotional regulation, grief, and trauma. Lydia strives to develop safety in the client-counselor relationship as she journeys with clients toward greater freedom in their lives. She has a particular interest in couples, families, and third-culture kids.
John Dichtl, MA, M.Div., LCPC
John Dichtl has worked as a counselor since 2012 in both agency work and private practice. He has focused experience providing couples counseling, and treating mood disorders and addictions. With graduate level training in both therapy and theology, John is uniquely equipped to help clients integrate their psychological and spiritual concerns.
Alison Yu, MA, M.Div., LPC
Alison Yu, M.Div, MA, LPC, is a bilingual (English and Mandarin Chinese) counselor who is experienced working with individuals, couples and families. She has a special heart for immigrant families. Trained in both psychology and theology, she is passionate about helping people to integrate the Christian faith in their healing process.
Kent Wohlrabe, MA, LCPC, CADC
Kent is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with many years of experience working with clients in a variety of clinical settings. Kent works primarily with adults and specializes in helping clients struggling with substance use and it's impact on daily life and relationships.
Raul Bravo, MA, LPC
Raul Bravo is a Licensed Professional Counselor, with an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He is bilingual (English and Spanish) and has experience working with adolescents and adults. He has worked with families struggling with trauma-related issues by helping them identify meaning and strength. His therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy.
Cristina Castro, M.Ed., LPC
Cristina is a Licensed Professional Counselor with her MA in Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University, Chicago. Cristina is a bilingual counselor providing services in English and Filipino (Tagalog). She is passionate about helping people to recover from trauma and supporting children and adults from diverse backgrounds who have experienced struggle because of their racial or cultural identity.
Jessica Pinder, MSW, LCSW
Jessica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois with advanced practice skills serving adults with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, and post traumatic stress disorder in addition to traumatic brain injury of various levels of severity and co-existing mental health conditions. She is passionate about human growth and development and has strong generalist competency working with individuals with a wide range of mental health needs.
Katy Robb, MSW, LCSW
Katy Robb is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received her master’s degree in social work from the School of Social Work at the University of Michigan. She has over a decade of training and experience treating individuals across the lifespan in community-based services, college counseling, and private practice. Katy has been recognized for her work building a community college mental health center.
