Personal Statement
My life is centered around my family. This value informs my counseling work with clients. I believe in the power of healthy and connected relationships. I am newly married and enjoy going out to eat with my husband. I also enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren. There is little that brings greater joy than being welcomed by “Grandma, I missed you.” My faith is a big part of my life and I am comfortable talking about spiritual concerns. I try to live by the motto “Do the Next Right Thing.”

I enjoy working with several different adult populations from Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar, BPD, relationship struggles, domestic violence, trauma including sexual, anxiety, depression, end of life concerns and final arrangements.

Theoretical Approach
While I utilize differing theories, one of those I identify with is Systems Theory. I believe that we co-exist in a world that is influenced by others. We have been affected by our family of origin(s), friends, co-workers and others to shape who we are. I have used treatment models such as CBT, DBT, Task Centered Approach, Problem Solving Model and Solution Focused Therapy to help my clients achieve their goals.
