I have a passion for mental health, which is why I love to increase awareness of the importance of caring for this aspect of our lives. I care deeply about reducing cultural stigma around mental health challenges and mental health care. People often go about their days focusing on their responsibilities, jobs, relationships, and physical health, but many people don’t take time to focus on their mental health. I strive to join clients in therapy to work towards increasing self-awareness as well as identifying their inherent strengths and resources that will prepare them for the journey of self-improvement.
Who I Serve
I work with adolescents and adults. I have experience working with families, couples, and individuals struggling with communication, parenting, social skills, self-esteem, depression, anger, trauma, and grief.
Specialty Treatment Areas
- Anger management
Additional Treatment Areas
- Emotional regulation
My main theoretical approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. One of my main goals as a counselor is to establish and maintain a positive and healthy therapeutic relationship with my clients. My sessions have a Humanistic Therapy feel to them, as I work towards helping clients feel empowered, safe, heard, and understood. Everyone is different, as all of us have different stories, backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. People perceive and respond to life events differently, which is why I strive towards better understanding my clients’ histories.
