Personal Statement

I strive to provide a safe place where clients can address significant parts of their lives. I believe it is important to consider each person holistically including the mind, body, and soul. The story of where you have been, where you are now, and where you want to go matters to me and I am here to first listen and then help.

Who I Serve

Working with children and teens is a specialty of mine. I also enjoy supporting parents with resources and skills to help them bring healing to the family. Shame holds us back in life and it can keep us trapped. Conflict makes it hard for us to feel at peace. Not knowing what to do next in helping those we love can create frustration and hopelessness. Together we can identify the problems and create solutions to facilitate positive change, restore relationships, and foster healing.

Many parents have difficulty finding a counselor that connects with the child or teen. Most clients enjoy my down to earth approach to therapy. I am trained in treatment approaches specifically designed for this age group. To learn more about play therapy, a specialized approach to working with children, read my blog post on our website. I make counseling a unique and beneficial experience for each individual including those who have tried therapy before and feel that it was not productive.
