Children are very resilient and they are aware of the environment around them much more than adults often understand. I believe in empowering children through highlighting their strengths and celebrating the small (or large) victories with them. I seek to provide clients with a space where they can experience age-appropriate independence, growth, and hope.
Who I Serve
I am passionate about helping children, ages 0-11 years, and their families. It can be difficult for children to identify when they are struggling, and it can be challenging for them to ask for help. I believe in educating and bringing awareness towards the signs/symptoms and providing them with a safe space where I can actively listen, practice strategies, and support them. It can be an overwhelming task for a caregiver/parent to manage their child’s behaviors and emotions. I enjoy aiding them through a process of recognition and learning how to appropriately and effectively respond to their child.

My theoretical approach is eclectic, and I use various techniques to meet the needs of client’s and their families. I am trained in an evidence-based practice called Early Pathways, which grabs from multiple approaches such as developmental theory, cognitive behavioral theory, and social learning theory. I use a trauma-informed approach that is culturally sensitive to client’s backgrounds.
