Personal Statement

Personally and professionally, I truly believe that those who prioritize self-care and self-love can change the world. That’s why I strive to provide a safe space for clients to process thoughts and emotions that come with addressing obstacles and stressors in life. Mental health has to do with how we think, feel, and act. It is not just living without a mental illness. Because of this, I genuinely believe that everyone can benefit from therapy in some way because like physical health, we all have mental health. My role in therapy is to work alongside you to guide you through your healing and mental health journey.

Who I Serve

I am passionate about providing quality care for children, adolescents, and families. As a trilingual therapist (English, Spanish, and Thai), I enjoy working with diverse populations, including individuals of all ages who come from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Offering therapy services in these specific languages is a speciality of mine.
As a therapist, social worker and a minority, I strive to continue to learn more about cultures aside from my own in order to meet the needs of all my clients. I provide young children with play therapy, engage creative adolescents in expressive and art therapy, and support parents and families with resources and skills to help their family grow.
My goal is to encourage clients to prioritize healing and self-love, so that they can be the best versions of themselves. I believe that each person has the power to define who they truly are while setting their own goals and living out their dreams. Everyone has the power to ignite positive change in the world and I want to help those who want to influence others, but are buried under mental obstacles and trauma. Together, we can work through your journey of healing and self-love, so that you can recognize and live out your full potential.

Theoretical Approach

My therapeutic approach is integrative as I utilize interventions that will address each client’s specific needs in a way that emphasizes individual and unique strengths. Some of the evidence-based interventions that I use include client-centered therapy, play therapy, structural family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness and meditation techniques.
I enjoy creating an atmosphere in therapy where people can feel safe and secure to develop skills and experience positive change in their lives. I also enjoy using creative methods to help my clients express thoughts and feelings in order to process difficult events and stressful situations while working alongside clients as they reach treatment goals.
With children, I enjoy providing play therapy and art therapy as it amazes me how creative children can be while expressing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In working with adolescents, I often utilize art therapy, music therapy, mindfulness, and creative writing or journaling. When working with adults, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to process the stresses that may come with daily life while maintaining a trauma-informed lens when relevant and appropriate.
