Personal Statement

I believe that change and growth happen within a safe and secure relationship. My greatest passion and curiosity in life is the human experience. Within our pain, joy, passion, conflict, accomplishments, anger, and grief lies a story unique to you. Within that story we will discover your courage, resilience, strength, and innate capacity to heal. My approach to therapy is warm, curious, and compassionate. In our work together I will strive to create a non-judgemental and empathetic space.

Who I Serve

I work with individuals, couples, children, and families. I am interested in helping couple and family relationships heal and flourish by strengthening the bonds of the parent-child and partner-partner attachments.

I am particularly passionate about working with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, family conflict, anxiety, and/or depression. I am especially experienced with children under the age of 5 who are learning how to safely name and express their emotions through language and play.

I really enjoy working with emerging adults, especially women who are navigating their relationships, school, work/careers, body image, substance use, reproductive/pregnancy choices, and life transitions. I also have experience working with women who have experienced sexual trauma.

I am LGBTQIA+ Affirming and seek to understand the value and importance of all cultural backgrounds.

As a counselor I am ethically responsible to take a stand in an anti-oppressive practice. I am not an expert in this work, but have dedicated a lifetime of learning anti-racism and the unlearning of my biases.

I am comfortable working with all spiritual backgrounds and belief systems. I am most familiar with Catholic and Christian traditions.
