We have therapists who are in network with Medicare who are ready to provide support and help for our seniors. Seniors have a great deal of wisdom and insight to share from their life experience.

That does not however mean that they themselves would not at times benefit from support. Seniors experience some of the same struggles that are common across the lifespan and they also have some concerns that are unique to them.

Grief/loss

Loss and grief is a difficult part of life that we all will unfortunately experience. Sometimes the attempts of our loved ones to make us feel better actually end up making us feel more alone with our sorrow. When grief becomes more than we can cope with on our own then working with a therapist with training in Grief and Loss can provide you with the support that you need.

Anxiety/Depression

While it is true that both anxiety and depression are common for many people of various ages, anxiety and depression looks different for each person. We have anxiety specialists on staff and therapists with specialized training in depression treatment. No one needs to face anxiety or depression alone.

Illness/caregiver

Illness and chronic pain can create a wide variety of unique stressors in one’s life. Living with illness or pain creates challenges that are hard to anticipate and look different for each person. Often overlooked yet still impacted are the loved ones who care for those who are experiencing the illness and or pain. Caregivers tend to take a selfless approach and put their loved one first. However, good self-care and seeking support when needed can help a caregiver better support their loved one. We have staff who specialize in health psychology (chronic pain/illness) and who specialize in caregiver support.
