S.A.G.E. Space

A safe place for identity exploration through group processing, developing self-advocacy skills, and learning how to cope with identity related stressors. For adults approximately 18 years and up.

Date: Wednsdays, 8-9pm, virtually running in 6-week cycles. Can attend continuously.

Location: Cherry Hill Counseling via Zoom

Cost: $50/session plus a 15% discount of the full 6 weeks is paid in advance of group start

Goal 1: Providing a safe space to process concerns, feelings, and beliefs within the LGBTQ+ community.

Objectives:

  • Establishing group rules and norms
  • Normalizing difficult conversations and welcoming emotional expression
  • Experiencing collective universality as group members realize they are not alone

Goal 2: Fostering discussion surrounding identity-related issues, relationship struggles, and mental health.

Objectives:

  • Engaging in Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills to support our mental health
  • Learning about and processing the development of healthy bonds and relationships
  • Experiencing the instillation of hope through peer support
